Hotel Snaefellsnes, formerly known as Hotel Rjukandi, is a hidden gem in the rugged beauty of Iceland. the room was a cozy retreat with a real queen-sized bed, a true luxury after a week of smaller beds. The breakfast was a standout highlight, offering the best dining experience of our entire Icelandic trip. Fresh and delicious choices, along with attentive staff, made for a great start to our day of exploring. the organic produce used in the traditional Icelandic dishes added a unique touch to the meal. The location of the hotel, though seemingly in the middle of nowhere, proved to be a perfect base for exploring Snæfellsnes. the friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even providing a welcome drink upon arrival. the tour desk assistance was invaluable in planning our excursions. In the evenings, we enjoyed unwinding in the soundproofed suite, which featured a comfortable seating area. the shared lounge and garden were lovely spots to relax and take in the stunning mountain views. Overall, Hotel Snaefellsnes comes highly recommended for its genuine hospitality, delicious food, and serene atmosphere.
